Casa NaMora is a farm retreat set in a valley at the foot of Serra da Estrela, within an 18-hectare estate. The project stems from the extension of a modest 1950s granite building, preserving the rural identity and functionality of the farm. Two concrete volumes were placed on an existing terrace, creating a harmonious relationship with the pre-existing structure and the surrounding landscape. The intervention combines materials such as stone, concrete, steel and wood, reinterpreting the region's vernacular architecture. Inside, the simplicity and neutrality of the spaces favour natural light and views, while outside the robustness of the volumes engages in dialogue with nature, in a balance between tradition and contemporary design.
